A rug really ties a room together, but it has to be the right size. A mat that is too small or too big for the area it serves can be a costly mistake that spoils the beauty of your room. Because every room in your house works differently, Dining room rug size is determined by the furniture in the room and its use. There are a few guidelines that can help you determine which sizes are right for each room in your home.

If you are lucky enough to have a separate foyer or hall, both are ideal places to display a rug. Depending on the size of the front door dining rug, you can swap out a 3, 4, or 5 foot rug for an interior door mat. For a rectangular foyer, you can place a 5-foot with an 8-foot mat the length of the room. For large or open foyers, you can roughly center a 6 or 8 foot round or square rug in the room and place a foyer table on top.

DINING ROOM

A single area rug should be used in the dining room. and it was supposed to anchor dining tables and chairs. It should be big enough for all of the chair legs to rest on when people are seated at the table. These are at least another two meters around the table if your table is round, square, oval or rectangular. For example, if your rectangular table is 4 meters wide and 6 meters long, your rug size should be at least 8 by 10 meters.
